Increasing Access to MRI In Our Communities

Access to medical care is of critical importance to those who need it. Imaging providers work hard to balance having the right technology available for patients with the investment that is required. This interview is about MR technologies that can expand access to more patients in your community, to increase the numbers of patients that can be effectively served. Access means different things to different people, depending on where one is in the world and the setting care in which is provided. In the outpatient setting, where much of the non-acute imaging is conducted today, imagers work daily to overcome common barriers to MRI: patient comfort, anxiety, claustrophobia, and body habitus.
