State of the Industry

This special hospitality event is hosted by the Washington Hospitality Association's own President & CEO, Anthony Anton.

Starting at 10 a.m., Anthony will present his state of the industry. At 10:45, registrants will have the option of attending one of two breakout rooms. One will examine labor trends with Jennifer Sandstrom, Associate Professor, Career-Track at WSU Vancouver. Joining Jennifer will be special guests Jenn Pickett of Wenspok Companies and Patrick Yearout of Ivar’s & Kidd Valley Restaurants.

The second breakout room will take a deep dive into the Clean Buildings Act with Andy Kaplowitz from MacDonald-Miller. Large commercial buildings will be required to meet mandatory clean building performance standards starting as early as 2026. If your building is 50,000 square-feet or larger, you won’t want to miss this informative discussion with MacDonald-Miller.

The breakout sessions will happen at the same time--so bring extra staff to attend both!
