Join us as we investigate the intersections of Tarot, gender, and Shakespeare's canon. Theatre-maker Will Wilhelm (they/them) leads a bite-sized interactive live-streamed Zoom session that will entertain, inspire, and enlighten! This time, we're excited to welcome our artistic crush, Meme García.

Co-Creator & Host
Will Wilhelm (they/them) is a trans/non-binary actor, writer, and educator based in Chicago. As a member of the resident acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, they reimagined genderqueer characters in As You Like It, Macbeth, and Bill Rauch's Oklahoma! Other professional highlights include Straight White Men (Steppenwolf Theatre), written and directed by Young Jean Lee, and RENT (Metropolis Performing Arts Centre) for which Will's performance as Angel received a BroadwayWorld Chicago Award. They have also had the pleasure of working with Victory Gardens, Northlight Theatre, Teatro Vista, About Face Theatre, American Theater Company, Chicago Children's Theatre, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Will is a proud graduate of Northwestern University and is represented by Gray Talent Group. With Erin Murray, they are the co-creator of Teacakes & Tarot and their debut solo show: Gender Play.
Meme García (they/them)
Meme García (they/them) is an actor, playwright and teaching artist currently based out of Ashland, OR. They are a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where they received an MA in Classical Acting. Meme is a Fulbright Scholar and holds degrees in theatre and women and gender studies from Seattle University. Originally from El Salvador, they are committed to reshaping the way society understands and interprets classical texts and stories, as well as creating theatre which subverts cultural norms while raising major questions about gender, race, and class inequality. They were a member of Oregon Shakespeare Festivals acting company for the past two seasons. Previously Meme has worked with Wooden O, Seattle Repertory Theatre, eSe Teatro, Strawberry Workshop Theatre, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Intiman, Seattle Shakespeare Company, upstart crow collective, The Merc Theatre, the Actor’s Shakespeare Project in Boston and Freehold Theatre.
