OKLoR Presents "The History of the Knight Templar Apron"
You are invited to join us for the April installment of our 2020-2021 presentations. On 3 April at 10am CST, we will be joined by guest speaker, Bro. Carson C. Smith with a presentation titled "The History of the Knight Templar Apron."

In the Symbolic Lodge, the newly initiated Entered Apprentice is presented with the lambskin, or white leather apron; it is an emblem of innocence, and the badge of a Mason, but after men became Masons, they sought further light in Masonic Orders of Christian Knighthood, choosing to wear their own, distinctive, Knight Templar apron, and the Knight Templar apron, which predates the military style frock coat and chapeau by not less than one hundred years, and is documented to have been worn in the 18th, 19th, and well into the 20th Century, is an acknowledgment of our connection to Ancient Craft Masonry, and to the Poor Fellow Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, who were also known as the Order of Solomon's Temple, or simply, the Knights Templar.
