Presented by Pascal van Keulen and Arjan Meijerink, Denkavit.

Growth and health performance in the early stages of life of a calf have a great relationship with the lifetime yield of a dairy cow. During this webinar, we'll combine the latest research with practice to answer the question: how do I get the best out of my calf? We will focus on the anatomy of the young ruminant: its (four) stomach complex, the esophageal groove and the big impact of different feeding systems and methods. Furthermore, one of the biggest and hugely underestimated problems in calf rearing globally will be discussed on how to recognize, treat, and prevent it.

Please note that the time mentioned (8.00PM), is Amsterdam timezone.
The webinar will last approx. 60-80 minutes.

Arjan Meijerink
Area Manager Export @Denkavit
Although not originating from a farmer’s family, I fell in love with cows being a 9 year old boy, when I learned milking cows on a neighboring farm. After finishing my agricultural college, I spent 10 years in dairy farm management in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and France. From 2002 to 2019, I was active in eastern Germany as team leader and consultant for a large feed cooperative. Two years ago I joined Denkavit as Area Manager Export, responsible for central and eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Forty years after my first acquaintance with dairy, still in love with ruminants large and small, it gives me immense pleasure visiting and bringing added value to our customers all over the world.
Pascal van Keulen
Product Manager Calf Milk Replacer @Denkavit
Dropped on a dairy farm at age 12, I had no choice then to embrace my new future. And, as many of you, I have thankfully never let that passion go! I obtained both my BSc & MSc degree in Animal Nutrition at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, with a specialization in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). After having worked in the UK, New Zealand, and Canada, I joined Denkavit two years ago. As a Product Manager, I am the link between our worldwide sales, nutrition, production, quality, and research departments. Now I am patiently waiting for the world to open again to provide all the technical support our colleagues, distributors, and customers need globally.
