This webinar aims to develop the knowledge & depth of understanding amongst GPs of key learnings around the timely assessment, investigation & management of orthopaedic injuries to the ankle/foot, elbow & shoulder, including associated complications, as presented in primary health patients. Aim to assist GP's in the management pathways for their patients & provide pathways for referral.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify and discuss the treatment of tennis elbow, evidence based investigations and outcomes of RECLAIM therapy
2. Describe the common differential diagnoses following an inversion injury of the ankle/foot, know the principles of managing a ankle lateral ligament injury, hindfoot ligamentous injury, 5th metatarsus fracture.
3. Be able to assess & investigate for an ankle syndesmosis & midfoot lisfranc injury.
4. Identify common causes of shoulder pain & stiffness including; common examination findings, understand shoulder investigations, identify & interpret radiological findings & utilise findings in the management

Dr Wei-Han Tay

Dr Wei-Han Tay is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions, and trauma. Wei-Han adopts an individualised and evidence-based approach to patient care, using modern and proven surgical implants and techniques. Dr Owen Mattern
Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgeon @Holmesglen Private Hospital
Dr Owen Mattern completed the Victorian Orthopaedic training in 2016, being accepted as a Fellow into the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. After working as a Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at Box Hill and Sandringham Hospitals he completed further specialist training in 2017 and 2018. Owen was a fellow with the Sydney Shoulder Research Institute, under the guidance of Mr Ben Cass, Mr Allan Young and Mr Jeff Hughes. He then completed a further Upper Limb fellowship at Wrightington Hospital in the United Kingdom, working with Mr Mike Walton, Prof Len Funk, Prof Adam Watts and Mr Steve Bale. Having returned to Melbourne, Owen currently operates publicly at Sandringham District Hospital, Box Hill Hospital and Frankston Hospital.
