Implement Fundamentals of Corrosion and Corrosion Protection
Corrosion is a universal problem faced by many industries with potential high cost of failures. Corrosion degrades material and decreases the service lifetime of components and structures, and if left unaddressed can lead to catastrophic failure or loss of assets and even loss of life. However, material degradation can be controlled by proper selection of materials, part design and protective measures aided by monitoring, characterisation and tests. Hence, there is a need to equip industry with the knowledge and skills to evaluate real-time corrosion-related issues and specify pertinent actions to combat them. Establishing the right corrosion testing scope that includes laboratory acceleration based on the relevant standards and field testing are crucial for proper performance evaluation of protective coatings. In addition, the understanding of the corrosion mechanism arising from the industry application and environmental factors are essential for determining the optimum corrosion protection solution. This webinar will introduce our WSQ course on Implement Fundamentals of Corrosion and Corrosion Protection.

This webinar is targeted at professionals, managers, executives & technicians (PMETs), engineers, supervisors, coating applicators and researchers in the precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, marine, energy, electronics and other industrial sectors to enhance their knowledge and skills on improving coating processes by understanding potential problems with the coating and taking appropriate actions to mitigate coating related failures.
