Join MGNE artists Caroline Sheridan Loose and Judith Long for a tour of Circling the Square Fine Art Press, along with founder and Artistic Director Karen Adrienne. Located in Gardiner, Maine, they will discuss the studio and samples of their past work and/or work in progress.
Originally trained as a painter who then discovered printmaking, Caroline Loose Sheridan’s approach to printmaking is greatly influenced by painting, as is her painting influenced by printmaking. She lives and works in Maine and Nova Scotia. When in Maine, Caroline works at Circling the Square Fine arts Press in Gardiner.
Judith Long discovered printmaking in 2008 when she began studying under Karen Adrienne, taking all printmaking courses offered by the University of Maine at Augusta. In 2011 she joined Circling the Square Fine Art Press in Gardiner and in February 2020 she completed a month-long Project Membership at Flatbed Press in Austin, TX where the images shown in this webinar were created.
Karen Adrienne is a founder and Artistic Director of Circling the Square Fine Art Press. She taught Printmakingat the University of Maine since 1987. In addition to her print works been exhibited nationally and internationally, she has received numerous grants and artist residencies.
