Speakers

April Ryan
White House Correspondent, CNN Political Analyst, and D.C. Bureau Chief for The Grio
April Ryan has a unique vantage point as the only black female reporter covering urban issues from the White House – a position she has held since the Clinton era. On behalf of TheGrio, she delivers her readership and listeners (millions of African Americans and close to 300 radio affiliates) news that "amplifies black culture.” Her position as a White House Correspondent has afforded her unusual insight into the racial sensitivities, issues, and attendant political struggles of our nation’s last presidents.
Byron Allen

In 1993, comedian, producer, media mogul, and philanthropist Byron Allen founded his Los Angeles-based global media company, Entertainment Studios. In 2019, Byron Allen formed ALLEN MEDIA BROADCASTING and began building the broadcast station group which includes four, “BIG 4” stations. Planned for 2021 launch, Byron Allen will debut The Weather Channel Español, the first 24 hour Spanish language weather service.
