UK Poverty is JRF’s annual report on the nature and scale of poverty across the UK and how it affects people who are caught in its grip.
This year’s report comes in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a storm that has had a far-reaching impact across our society, especially on people in poverty, who have been hit the hardest and are at risk of being pulled into deeper hardship.
Our report shows that an unacceptable number of people were already in poverty before the pandemic, and highlights what has been happening to people who have been struggling to keep their heads above water since it began.
In this webinar, we’ll give an overview of our findings and recommendations. We’ll show why the Government must take bold and compassionate action on work, social security and housing so that they work better for everyone after coronavirus.
