Feroz Basa
Head: Global Emerging Markets @Sanlam Investments
Feroz is currently the head of the Sanlam Global Emerging Markets business and is responsible for managing the GEM portfolio. Moreover, he analyses companies in the Healthcare, IT and Industrial sectors across multiple geographies. Feroz previously worked for Old Mutual where he managed the Old Mutual Emerging Market Fund and the Old Mutual High Yield Opportunities Fund. He was also responsible for analysing the Healthcare, Diversified Industrial and Property sectors. In 2007, Feroz became a portfolio manager in the OMIG Value Equity Investments boutique and assisted in implementing a philosophy and process for the Old Mutual High Yield Opportunity Fund. Prior to that, he was an equity analyst responsible for the building and construction, electronics and diversified transport companies. Feroz holds a BComm (Hons) degree from the University of the Western Cape.
