The format of this talk will be new: PhACT member and speaker Rob Palmer, who writes as "The Well-Known Skeptic" for Skeptical Inquirer magazine, will conduct an interview with actor & secular activist John de Lancie and moderate questions from the Zoom audience.

About the Speakers:
A Philadelphia native, John de Lancie is best known for playing Colonel Frank Simmons in "Stargate SG-1", Agent Allen Shapiro in the British sci-fi series "Torchwood", Donald Margolis in "Breaking Bad", and the god-like Q in the Star Trek series beginning with "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and continuing on to the upcoming season 2 of the series "Picard". De Lancie is a strong supporter of humanism and critical thinking, an active opponent of the teaching of Intelligent Design, and has given talks on these topics at gatherings such as the 2016 Reason Rally and CSICon 2019.
Rob Palmer has had a diverse career in engineering, having worked as a spacecraft designer, an aerospace project engineer, a computer programmer, and a software systems engineer. Rob became a skeptical activist when he joined the Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia team in 2016, and began writing for Skeptical Inquirer in 2018.
