The new version of our free Fast Excel Development Template supports building systems using modules.
A module is a single workbook that performs a single planning function. A system built with modules will automatically run each module in turn. The system works in a flow to integrate planning over multiple functions: for instance, Demand Planning, MRP, Material Planning, Capacity Planning and Production Scheduling.
There are a number of advantages to building a planning system this way. It is easier to control, to visualise the flow and create reusable modules that can be deployed in multiple systems, leading to better quality.
The development template makes it easy to programme each module, and then build a system that runs them all automatically. All without writing a single line of software code.
In this webinar, we will discuss the advantages of developing in modules, give you some guidelines to get started, and then a short demonstration of building a system.
You will learn:
-- How modules can help to simplify planning systems
-- One overlooked feature of ERP systems that can lead to failure - and how Excel can help and then co-exist in harmony
-- A step-by-step process to developing in Excel, using ERP data, without any coding
Every attendee will receive the template we started with and the system that gets built in the demo.
