Gavin Kernaghan (PhD @University of Alberta)
Most of Dr. Gavin Kernaghan’s research focuses on the ecology of fungi and its relationship with plants; evolutionarily they have been closely tied together as a typical pairing and are often studied in tandem.

Brian Allen (Research Specialist @University of California Cooperative Extension office in Jackson, CA)
Brian Allen is a research specialist at the University of California Cooperative Extension office in Jackson, CA. He is developing a truffle genetic and microscopy testing service lab to meet industry demand with guidance from researchers and truffle growers.

Staci O'Toole (The Truffle Huntress @Tesoro Mio Truffle Ranch)
She began training Mila Fiore, a Lagotto Romagnolo, to hunt the elusive truffles of the Pacific Northwest. The Truffle Huntress, Mila was a natural finding her first truffle at 12 weeks old.  A year later they were professionally surveying truffle orchards across the state.  At one of the orchards Mila discovered a Perigord Truffle in a hazel orchard and their fate was sealed.   Staci began an intensive study of Truffle hunting and farming throughout Europe and the States.  She began rehabilitating a neglected truffière that she later purchased.

Ben Lemond (PhD Student @University of Florida)
Ben is a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida working on several projects related to the ecology and systematics of ascomycete truffle fungi.
