In an age of periodic lockdowns, we need to find innovative and creative ways to engage and grow our audiences. Many arts & heritage organisations have some sort of digital collection, how can these assets be repurposed to meet today’s challenges?

You will learn from our 3 specialists about the opportunities available for interpretation teams, digital teams and curators to reinvigorate existing digital collections.

The workshop will be highly interactive, giving you the opportunity to speak with our panel about your specific challenges and gain advice on how to approach them.

Lauren also leads the events programme at the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Sophia Mirashrafi (Digital Project Officer @Historic Environment Scotland) Sophia is the Digital Project Officer for the Hill House, jointly employed by the National Trust for Scotland, and based at the Engine Shed in Stirling. She is interested in exploring how different technologies can be used to tell new stories about the past. Thomas Flynn (Cultural Heritage Lead & Community @Sketchfab) Thomas’ role at Sketchfab is to help institutions that already use the Sketchfab get the most out of it and help those yet to take the plunge to establish sustainable 3D scanning programmes. Prior to working at Sketchfab, Thomas helped develop the 3D scanning programme at the British Museum.
