Seán Moran
Vice President of Operations and Plant Manager - Sanmina Ireland @Sanmina Corporation
Seán Moran is Vice President of Operations and Plant Manager of Sanmina’s medical manufacturing facility in Fermoy, Ireland. He joined Sanmina in 2011 and manages production of millions of medical devices per year. Seán has been managing high technology manufacturing operations for 23 years and has 14 years experience leading production of class 1, 2, and 3 medical devices. Prior to joining Sanmina, Seán held operations leadership roles in a number of major multi-national companies including Baxter Healthcare, Xerox Corporation and NEC Semiconductors. Before working in industry, he spent 13 years in the Irish Defense Forces. Seán attained the rank of captain and served in Ireland and internationally with the United Nations. Seán is a national council member of Ibec, Ireland’s largest employer and industry organization, and is also president of Ibec’s Cork Regional Executive Committee. Seán graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway, with an engineering degree.
Wellington Giolo
Head of Sales & Strategic Alliances @42Q
Wellington Giolo is Head of Sales & Strategic Alliances at 42Q. He has successfully managed more than 100 manufacturing execution system deployments worldwide in single and multi-site installations in factories ranging from small to very large. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Wellington has established a strong track record and invaluable experience collaborating with both Original Equipment Manufacturers and Electronics Manufacturing Services providers. He has experience in a wide range of industries including Fortune 500 enterprises. Wellington founded the Brazil Development Center and built the team and technology over 10 years, before moving to the U.S. Prior to joining 42Q, Wellington worked in senior management positions at Sanmina Corporation and 3M. Wellington holds a B.S. in System Analysis from Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, a Masters in Industrial Process Management from University of Campinas and an MBA from FGV, in Brazil.
Daniel R. Matlis

Daniel Founder and President of Axendia, an analyst firm providing trusted advice to Life-Science Executives on Business, Technology and Regulatory issues. Dan has almost three decades of industry experience spanning the Health-Science value chain. He has been an active member in FDA’s Case for Quality Initiative since 2014 and has presented Axendia’s research findings to industry executives and the FDA officials. He is a frequent lecturer at Industry events and has published numerous research reports and articles on key issues facing the Life-Sciences and Healthcare industries. Dan began his career at Johnson & Johnson, where he provided leadership in the areas of technology, regulatory compliance and business. Before founding Axendia, Dan was a Partner, VP and General Manager at a leading Life-Science consultancy firm. Dan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University (now NYU School of Engineering) & a MS in Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
