The Present and Future of Latin American/Latinx Studies at CUNY and Beyond: Building Bridges
The symposium will feature a keynote address by Alejandro de la Fuente, Robert Woods Bliss Professor of Latin American History and Economics at Harvard University on the development of Afro-Latin American Studies; a discussion by José Luis Cruz, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost of The City University of New York, on the Mellon Foundation Grant for Ethnic Studies Expansion at The City University of New York, and three panels featuring distinguished scholars and program directors from CUNY and beyond.
