Join us for a virtual conversation on the current state of African Cinema, Sunday, July 26 at 5pm ET. With Dr. Boukary Sawadogo, Assistant Professor of Black studies and Cinema Studies at The City College of New York and author “Les Cinémas francophones ouest africains, 1900-2005” and Dr. Reinaldo Barroso-Spech, ADIFF Co-Founder and Co-Director of the African Diaspora International Film festival. The three African films in ADIFF’s virtual festival - Shaihu Umar by Adamu Halilu, The Pirogue by Moussa Toure and 2 Weeks in Lagos by Kathryn Fasegha - will be discussed at length.
