With Tridip Suhrud
Let us ask ourselves as to why a person long dead should mean anything to us. Is it because he spoke of Swaraj as freedom from colonial rule and as reaffirmation of our capacity for self-governance, or that he practised deeply the very complex art of non-violence? Is the meaning of M K Gandhi’s presence in our minds due to his faith in youth to be morally innovative and steadfast? Is our quest for a life -collective and individual- free from fear, from the violence of poverty and pervasive violence any different? Come and join a conversation to explore these and other concerns about Gandhi in his times and in ours.
Chandan Gowda will be in conversation with Tridip Suhrud.
