Some people are intimidated by the idea that “the numbers don’t lie” when it comes to their department’s finances. But what if understanding those numbers allowed you to meaningfully improve your program?
Ron Jones and his team, with support of administration, took a district in South Carolina that had been running in the red for nearly a decade, and turned it around to profitability in its first year by looking at the numbers including: MPLH, labor costs, food costs–all common KPIs.
Analyzing the program, he found 13 areas where he could make changes that would bring them into profitability and allowed them to:
- provide their students higher-quality nutrition with organic produce and local beef;
- offer better wages to their employees and decrease turnover;
- increase participation in their program.
Join us on January 26 at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern to learn how Ron and his team turned the Spartanburg District 6 program around. Based on his background in food service and running numbers, he will share what numbers are critical, where to find them, and how to change them. Using his approach you can learn how you can run your program more profitably, too, so you can make meaningful impacts on the people you serve.
Wherever you land on the spectrum–whether avoiding the numbers or embracing them head on–you’ll find something in this webinar to help you.
Ron is going to share his wealth of knowledge and experience from decades in foodservice. He’s worked both at the district level and at the state level, so understands the nitty-gritty details like menu mix, as well as the macro side of things, such as analyzing the numbers across 150+ districts.
Come learn from Ron’s experience, and bring any questions you may have–we’ll have a Q&A at the end. We'll record the session and provide it to all registrants, so if this time doesn't work for you, register anyway and we'll make sure to send the recording your way.
