We've created a unique, online exercise-based program, called SOAR (Stop OsteoARthritis), to help boost recovery from a sport-related knee injury and reduce the risk of osteoarthritis.
Joint injuries are one of the most established risk factors for this serious, yet common, type of arthritis. In fact, half of young people who hurt their knees, while doing sports or recreational activities, go on to develop osteoarthritis within five to 10 years.
It's a big problem. By 2040, an estimated 12 million Canadians will have OA, forcing them to live with pain and other symptoms for decades. We want to change this.
Join us for a webinar and Q&A with Arthritis Research Canada Research Scientist and creator of the SOAR Program, Dr. Jackie Whittaker, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM PDT.
