EV 101 & Test Drive Challenge
Did you know there are more than 30 plug-in vehicle models for sale in Minnesota from more than a dozen manufactures? Most electric vehicle (EV) charging is done at home, but did you know there are more than 315 public charging sites available in Minnesota?

Electric vehicles are becoming more popular each year – but do they live up to Minnesota standards and where do you test drive a vehicle today? Electric vehicles help address many modern transportation challenges and are more affordable and better performing that ever before. The variety of electric vehicles available today provides buyers more choices of manufacturer, size, capabilities, and appearance. EVs dramatically lower overall emissions of harmful pollutants, including greenhouse gases when using renewable charging. They require less general maintenance, less or no petroleum, save money, and protect drivers against volatile oil prices.

Join Twin Cities Clean Cities Coalition, American Lung Association, and Shift2Electric for an educational workshop that’s unaffiliated with any specific brands. We’ll “kick the tires” of some electric vehicles, discuss the health and climate impacts of driving electric, and review how to complete safe test drives for a shot to win some great prizes! Participants will leave the meeting equipped to make an informed decision about their next vehicle with a comprehensive comparison list of all makes and models available on the Minnesota market today.

The discussion will include:
* Electric technology advances.
* Benefits of going electric.
* How to choose the right electric car for your household.
* Cost savings of driving electric.
* EV Test Drive Contest.
* Your questions.

Participants are encouraged to download the latest list of EVs available in the Midwest at www.EVInfoList.com.
