Eliana Mason: My journey to the Tokyo 2020 Games

Eliana Mason

Eliana Mason grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and was raised in the Greek Orthodox community. Eliana graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Portland State University In 2017, and a minor in community health. She is currently a Graduate student at Antioch University expected to receive her Master’s in clinical mental health counseling in the Spring of 2022. Eliana competes on the USA Women’s National goalball team for Team USA and is a 2-time Paralympic medalist. For Rio 2016 Eliana helped her team bring home a bronze medal, and for the Tokyo 2020 Games Eliana helped the team bring home a silver medal. Eliana is passionate about disability advocacy and education and is hoping to use her counseling degree to bridge a much needed gap between mental health services, and disability education and inclusion. In her spare time Eliana enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, staying active, and walking her dog.
