He has been actively involved in a variety of research and market assessment projects and due diligence missions for various clients from the entire satcom mobility value chain. Vishal is a major contributor to Euroconsult’s strategic research reports in the Satcom domain including Prospect for Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity, Prospects for Maritime Satellite Communications, the Space Economy Report and The Ground Segment Report. Prior to joining Euroconsult, Vishal worked for Tata Power Co. Ltd in their aviation division in Mumbai, India. Vishal holds a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from Toulouse Business School. Tim Southard (Vice President Satellite Networks @ANUVU) With 35 years in telecommunications with Anuvu, Gilat, MCI and EDS, including 25 years in satellite, Tim specializes in network strategy and operations with a focus on mobility and commercial solutions. Tim has operated 200,000 site networks for Gilat in the US, the National Broadband Network (NBN) consumer VSAT network for the Australian government and building Inmarsat’s Global Express fixed-network operations. Tim is driving Anuvu’s next generation satellite connectivity initiatives including LEO and Hybrid Orbit and making the transition to multi-orbit easy with Bridge to LEO. Currently, Tim and his teams oversee Anuvu’s 16GHz of space segment and associated teleports and fiber as the largest service provider of the three mobility-focused industries: Aviation, Maritime and Government. Chris Insall (Head of Maritime Market Development @ST Engineering iDirect) Chris Insall is Head of Maritime Market Development at ST Engineering iDirect – based in London, UK. Chris joined iDirect from satellite operator Intelsat in 2022, where his primary responsibilities incorporated product management, service development and marketing for the maritime vertical markets, focused upon managed services for VSAT. Chris has over 25 years’ experience in the sector, having worked also previously in industry providers such as Cobham SATCOM (incorporating maritime antenna brands Sea Tel and Sailor), and Inmarsat where he worked for 11 years with roles encompassing maritime business and product management – major responsibilities included deployment of Inmarsat’s Fleet and FleetBroadband portfolios. Chris holds an MSc degree in Software Engineering and a BA degree in business and foreign languages, and is a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Stephen Conley (Director, Platform Strategy & Maritime Product @Eutelsat) Responsible to drive product and feature enhancements tailored to the maritime industry, while translating market and customer requirements into pleasant overall user experience. Stephen recently joined Eutelsat, offering vast knowledge in developing satellite connectivity services accumulated from a mixture of past technical and business roles, including network operations, sales engineering, capacity procurement, satellite capacity optimization, yield management, product management and business development for some of the world’s most successful service providers and teleport and satellite operators. Having been posted in several diverse locations (Luxembourg, Miami, Washington DC, The Hague, London, Aberdeen) during a successful 15+ year career, Stephen is currently located at Eutelsat’s corporate HQ in Paris. Stephen holds a BSc Honours degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Glasgow University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Hague University. Will Mudge (Vice President Engineering Operations @Speedcast) Will Mudge is the Vice President Engineering Operations at Speedcast developing global teleport and Low Earth Orbit Constellation strategies. Prior to his current roll; Will was the head of R&D engineering, Strategic Product Marketing Manager, and Program Manager at Speedcast and Harris Caprock. Will has a degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Engineering Physics. Yaron Katriel (Product Line Manager @Gilat Satellite Networks) Yaron Katriel is Gilat's Product Manager for NGSO, VHTS and Software Defined Satellites (SDS). Mr. Katriel has over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunication Industry and has been with Gilat for the past 14 years in senior positions. Over Mr. Katriel's career he served in positions such as: system architect and product management of multi-disciplinary complex systems. He was responsible for the definition of new and innovative next generation platforms based on future market needs. During his last years at Gilat, Yaron had a leading role in the definition of SkyEdge IV, Gilat's next generation platform, designed as the industry's leading solution for software defined NGSO and VHTS satellites. Yaron holds a BSc in Electric Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
