The Melbourne Private Hospital invites General Practitioners and Allied Health professionals to attend this live, online and interactive meeting with Professor Richard Bittar, Mr Mohammed Awad and Mr Yianni Zaparas.

Activity ID: 210952

This interactive update has been developed with a GP focus in order to expand the understanding of diagnostic and management strategies for patients presenting with suspected workplace back injuries. This activity will address clinical and administrative challenges faced by primary care providers.
A neurosurgeon and personal injury specialist will lead GPs through an interactive session that reviews and examines evidence, patient case studies and the diagnostic, treatment and management options available to General Practitioners.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Discuss a range of investigation techniques and imaging modalities for the diagnosis of work related back pain.
2. Recognise when a specialist referral is necessary for a patient presenting with back pain.
3. Describe the key themes and unique optics to document in a medical report.
4. Outline considerations to be aware of during report writing of diagnosis and the causation of injuries.

Healthscope is a CPD education provider under the RACGP CPD Program.

GPs are invited to direct any pre-meeting questions for the presenters to Cathie Bulfin, Melbourne Private Hospital BDM (cathie.bulfin@healthscope.com.au).
