ASK THE EXPERTS Parenting "Just" Children: A How-To Conversation about Race, Social Justice Activism, and The Media
Have you ever wanted talking points to explain to your child why Black Lives Matter matters? How are your children learning to treat others with fairness and equality? Are you unsure how your teen can protest via social media in a safe and secure way?
On Wednesday, September 16th at noon EDT, Children and Screens will present “Parenting Just Children: A How-To Conversation About Race, Social Justice, and The Media” to support parents, educators and clinicians in understanding and discussing the intersectionality of racial justice, youth online civic engagement, media violence and on-screen representation. The conversation between our interdisciplinary panel of world-renowned experts and the live Q&A will provide guidance in how to talk with your children, students, and patients about race and ways that families can help create a more socially just society.
If you have a question for the panel, please indicate whether you would like to ask your question for the panel live on camera during the workshop.
