The fiftieth Strand Group event, held in conjunction with Haus Publishing, will take place on Tuesday 27th April.
Dr Jack Brown, author of 'The London Problem: What Britain Gets Wrong About Its Capital City', will discuss his new book with Catherine McGuinness, Policy Chair at City of London Corporation as respondent, followed by a Q&A.
The event will take place via Zoom from 18.00-19.15.
Published on the eve of the delayed mayoral elections and in the wake of the greatest financial downturn in generations, The London Problem asks whether the capital’s relentless growth and stranglehold on commerce and culture will ever leave room for other regions to compete.
Dr Jack Brown is Lecturer in London Studies and London Partnerships Director in the Department of Political Economy at King’s College London.
Catherine McGuinness is Chair of the Policy & Resources Committee at the City of London Corporation. She is a Board Member of TheCityUK, London & Partners and London Councils.
