The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program (10KSB), which is currently in 20 cities across the country, came to the Baltimore area three years ago when CCBC was awarded a grant to start it here.
The program provides a unique educational experience—free of charge! - to small business owners, that focuses on development of personalized growth plans. The curriculum was designed by the entrepreneurial school at Babson University in Massachusetts, and is taught by college instructors and local subject matter experts.
In Baltimore, lead instructor Robert Kennedy III, a CCBC CE Business adjunct, teams with CCBC credit instructors Bill Osbourne and Sheryl Parks to lead several of the program sessions.
There have been over 300 small business owner graduates from this program. Many of these graduates have implemented their growth plans to increase income and staff, two major components by which Goldman Sachs measures the program’s success.
