Geopolymer Use on DOT Projects
State Department of Transportation (DOT) agencies are increasingly focused on the repair and rehabilitation of their aging culvert infrastructure. The use of spray applied geopolymer pipe liners are gaining increased acceptance and use due to their cost-effectiveness and adaptability to various materials and shapes.

This presentation will highlight several recent DOT culvert rehabilitation projects from across the country involving the use of a high strength geopolymer mortar lining system.

Scott Naiva
Northeastern Region Manager @GeoTree Solutions
Scott Naiva, P.E. is the Northeastern Region Manager with GeoTree. Scott is responsible for business development of GeoTree’s GeoSpray geopolymer solution. Scott has 33 years of engineering consulting and business development sales experience. He has an Engineering degree from Syracuse and an MBA from Eastern University. He is an active member of 4 Water Environment Association Collections committees. Scott resides in the Philadelphia, PA area with his wife and daughter.
Dave Keaffaber
Midwest Region Manager @GeoTree Soplutions
David Keaffaber, P.E., joined GeoTree Solutions as the Midwest Region Manager in January 2014. David was also employed with CONTECH Construction Products and BridgeTek where he served in precast bridge/culvert marketing, sales and regulatory development roles. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering with an emphasis in Soil and Water Resources Engineering. Dave’s background also includes eight years’ experience with the Indianapolis Department of Public Works’ Flood Control and Drainage Division serving as Administrative/Chief Engineer and three years with Hancor Drainage Products as a Field Applications Engineer, as well as employment with Indianapolis-based CSO Architects and Engineers in a Water Resources Engineer position. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Registered Professional Engineer.
