The Coordinating Office of Community Engagement and Service Learning at the University of South Carolina is responsible for coordinating community engagement efforts between the university and the community. There are a number of extraordinary potential partner organizations out there. There are also a lot of questions. How do you know which partner organization is right for your institution? Okay, we’re partners now what? Is this partnership mutually beneficial? Are the volunteers and partner organizations getting what they feel is deserved from this engagement experience? This session will help attendees strategically approach partnerships and clearly outline the objectives and outcomes of community engagement activities.
Session attendees will leave with increased knowledge on how to evaluate existing partnerships and initiate new productive partnerships. Attendees will also become more knowledgeable on the evaluation process of engagement activities.
