New research by Magenta Associates reveals that business priorities are shifting. Since March 2020, the top focus for organisations is to communicate more effectively with employees, the lifeblood of any organisation. Internal communications is not new, but never before has this discipline been so complex, particularly in the wake of the pandemic.
In addition to running a survey of 2,000 employees that revealed 53% do not describe their employer as a good communicator, and two-thirds do not know how, when and where they are supposed to work, Magenta spoke to business leaders to understand where internal communications sits in their organisations. For some, it’s marketing. For others, it’s HR. For workplace change projects, it’s often real estate and FM. For most, it’s a mix. Regardless, 83% of the business leaders surveyed state that business-to-employee comms is more important now prior to March 2020, and yet 42% admit they lack expertise and support in this area.
This interactive webinar will unpick the biggest communications challenges and zoom in on the top comms priorities of which are communicating workplace change, health & wellbeing, training and learning and development, followed by encouraging collaboration between dispersed teams, clarifying remote working etiquette, and culture management. Following a panel discussion, audience members will join smaller breakout rooms to discuss and explore new ways to connect with colleagues.
