Colorful Consumption: The Costs of Racism and Homophobia in Eating Disorders
In this presentation, participants will learn to understand and thus, recognize, the intersectional “costs” of bias (i.e., racism and homophobia) in treating eating disorders. Attendees will be apprised of the historical impact, as well as the current implications, of exclusive treatment and how to apply that knowledge to their perception of and connection to this underserved population.
