There are 4 million caregivers across Ontario, providing care to family members, partners, friends, or neighbours, and providing an estimated 75% of the care in our healthcare system. Caregivers play a critical role in caring for older adults, and the support and inclusion of caregivers is essential to our healthcare system. This webinar will focus on key insights from caregivers across Ontario from the Ontario Caregiver Organization’s December 2022 Spotlight Report, discuss the impact of caregiving on caregiver well-being, offer practical strategies and tools for healthcare settings and providers to include and support caregivers, and provide an overview of programs and services that are available for all caregivers across Ontario offered by The Ontario Caregiver Organization.

In her role, Bianca works with caregivers, healthcare and service providers, and other organizations to identify and address caregiver concerns and to engage, include and support the role of caregivers across health & service care settings. Bianca has worked in the child and youth mental health sector, as well as hospitals in clinical and planning roles. She has a passion for engaging people with lived experience in the planning and development of programs and services and strives to work across sectors and settings to build strong partnerships that improve the health and well-being of the people she works with.
