Join us for a Conversation with Movement Advancement Project (MAP) and Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE)
Join us on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:30 pm for a ZOOM conversation with Logan S. Casey, Policy Researcher, Movement Advancement Project (MAP), Ivy Hill, Community Health Program Director, Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE) and Zakia McKensey who leads Nationz Foundation in Richmond, Virginia.

Presented in conversation with SNMA Executive Director Hunter O’Hanian, they will discuss the main arguments and findings from the report Telling A New Southern Story: LGBTQ Resilience, Resistance, and Leadership (July 2020).

“Despite being home to the most hostile policy landscape in the country for LGBTQ issues, the South is also home to some of the most innovative, resilient, and effective LGBTQ organizing and activism in the country. This report explores the unique experiences of LGBTQ Southerners and the innovative ways they build community, provide direct support, and make cultural and political change in the region.”
