Leah Carr
Director, Research Programs and Human Development @NBHRF
Leah is in her 11th year as the Director, Funding Programs and Human Development at the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation, having also served as the interim CEO from July 2018 to August 2020. Prior to joining NBHRF she held supervisory and management positions at Manufacturer’s Life and Avis Budget Group in the areas of policy administration, human resources, operations and process improvement. She also spent a little over a year in the Research Services Office at UNB.
Karina Leblanc
Executive Director @RRPS-NB-SPRN
Karina LeBlanc is the Executive Director of both the Pond-Deshpande Centre (PDC) at the University of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Social Policy Research Network (NB-SPRN). With a passion for supporting the growth and development of motivated, systems change-makers, Karina is invested in fuelling the growth of the Impact Economy in Atlantic Canada and creating the connections between sectors necessary to drive evidence-based public policy and programming. She is working to build a more equitable and sustainable economy with the creation of such initiatives as NouLAB, a Public and Social Innovation Lab, https://noulab.org, the Be.For.Change Social Venture Accelerator https://b4c.ventures, the Change Maker Seed Funding Program https://www.changemakerfundingprogram.com, and the New Brunswick Social Innovation Research Fund https://nbif.ca/social-innovation-research-fund.
Patricia Seaman
Director, Finance and Operations @NBHRF
Patricia is in her 4th year with the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation, having first held the position of Senior Manager, Event Planning, Communications and Public Engagement. Ms. Seaman earned a BPR from Mount Saint Vincent University and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick. Ms. Seaman worked in Europe before returning to North America and choosing Fredericton as her home. She has over ten years professional experience including over five years experience as a medical supplies sales representative where she had the highest growth sales numbers amongst staff from 2013 through to 2016.
