Greg Ciottone, MD
President, World Association for Disaster & Emergency Medicine, Assoc. Professor of Emergency Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Dr. Ciottone is an emergency physician and the President of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine, the oldest international emergency and disaster medicine organization, with members from over 60 countries. He is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Instructor in the Department of Health Policy & Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Ciottone is also the Medical Director for the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, a joint program of the HSPHS and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and has served as a consultant to the White House Medical Unit for the past two administrations. Dr. Ciottone’s clinical & field experience includes 25 years as a practicing EP and over 500 missions as a flight physician on an aeromedical helicopter service. He has led EM programs in 30+ countries and has written over 100 scholarly works including leading textbook in the field, Ciottone's Disaster Medicine
