Christian Baillie joined Methfessel & Werbel in 2012 after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Paul A. Kapalko, J.S.C., in the Monmouth County Superior Court. At M&W he specializes in the litigation of first party and third party coverage issues. In his eight years at M&W Christian has written briefs in several successful appeals and has tried numerous matters to conclusion. He has drafted hundreds of coverage opinions and position letters, focusing on novel questions of insurance law. Most recently Christian has successfully led the charge in the defense of numerous carriers against COVID-19-based business interruption loss claims.
Eric Harrison

Eric Harrison joined Methfessel & Werbel in 1994 after a judicial clerkship in Ocean County Superior Court. In his first five years of practice he tried more than twenty personal injury cases to a conclusion, obtaining “no cause” verdicts or judgments lower than his client’s final offer in all but one. He has been certified as a Civil Trial Attorney since 1999. Eric’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and liability matters, complex civil litigation, employment, civil rights and education law. As an authority in insurance law he has spoken at seminars regarding auto insurance, underwriting and claim fraud, toxic tort litigation and issues in public employment and civil rights law. In the wake of changes in New Jersey auto insurance law he has written policy endorsements for several insurers. Most recently he participated with a judge and two other certified civil trial attorneys in the presentation of a “Civil Discovery Workshop” for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education
