Bob began his career working for Crouse-Hinds Electrical Construction Materials after graduation from Cal Poly Pomona over 30 years ago. He then went on to various sales and management positions with the company finally ending up in Houston. He currently is the owner/president of Source IEx, a distributor for GMI along with other complementary Ex products based in Spring Texas. He is also a CompEx instructor/assessor for the IECEx CoPC scheme. Besides being an instructor, he also has performed many third-party inspections for clients in the Ex world both for offshore and onshore activities and also assists clients in the design and application of Ex equipment and systems. He is a member of the US UL STP for the adaptation of the 60079 standards as US standards for Class Zone applications.

Paolo career began in technical sales, after an electrical engineering degree, with Elcon Instruments; an Italian I.S.B. manufacturer. He migrated to US to start the North American operation of the company and run and managed it for 9 years, acquiring extensive knowledge of business management and EX applications. In 1996 Paolo joined GMI as a partner and became Export Sales Manager. With the introduction of the IEC SIL standards he has made a point to learn how these standards apply to our business sector and has obtained a TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer degree. He has given many seminars on both Intrinsic Safety and Functional Safety around the globe. Today with +30 years of working in Hazardous Area Instrumentation with SIL3 Certification he enjoys providing support and sharing knowledge to customers globally.
