Digital Wednesday - The New Intimacy is Digital
We’re living in a world that we would have never imagined one year ago: a (completely) digital society. How personal and intimate is this society?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our need for intimacy becomes bigger and bigger. We connect on digital spaces like Houseparty, Teams and online festivals. Finding (more) online intimacy is developing at a rapid pace. Is digital intimacy becoming our new way of living?

Digital Wednesday combined with Dutch Design

This fully English edition of Digital Wednesday is part of the Dutch Design Week program. During this webinar you will discover how this new intimacy is progressing. You are going to figure out how the media revolution changes our perception of reality and how we can play with it. Next to that, you will get a glimpse into the - for some - still unknown gaming world, which started as a scene of nerds coding in their bedroom and has grown into superheroes who fill stadiums during esports events nowadays. So, what place does intimacy occupy in our digital society? And what role does design - in the broadest sense - take?
