One of the questions we have been receiving a lot here at The Mokha Institute is; What is needed to happen for a peaceful future in Yemen?
We are delighted to announce our next webinar with our esteemed guest speaker, Peter Salisbury. Peter Salisbury is Senior Yemen Analyst at International Crisis Group, a research-focused conflict prevention and resolution NGO. A veteran journalist and political economy analyst, he writes on politics, economics, diplomacy, humanitarian affairs and conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa and beyond. His work features engaging, readable and often colorful narratives out of complex subject matter for both an expert and generalist audience. Peter has more than a decade of wide-ranging experience as a print, online and broadcast journalist. The former energy editor of MEED, the Middle East Economic Digest, he has written for the Economist, the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and Vice News among others. As a political economy analyst and researcher he has acted as a consultant to the UK’s Department of International Development, the UN, and The World Bank, and has published a series of highly regarded papers on Yemen for Chatham House and Crisis Group, among others. He has also produced a number of short- and long-format documentaries on Yemen for VICE. Peter appears regularly on television, radio and in print as a commentator on Middle East affairs.
