Lee Grismer grew up chasing lizards and snakes in the Anza-Borrego Desert. He discovered and described the Sandstone Night Lizard, a species unique to only the Anza-Borrego Desert, when he was an undergraduate at SDSU. Lee went on to work more than 25 years in Baja California and published a book on its herpetofauna in 2002. For the past 20 years, he has been working in Southeast Asia writing books on the amphibians and reptiles of Malaysia and Singapore. Lee is also an accomplished photographer of reptiles and amphibians, and tonight he shares photos he has taken from around the world along with stories of the incredible adaptations these creatures have developed to live in their unique environments. No charge, but donations requested.
