The webinar will cover the Technical Note on the implementation of the UN Protocol on the Provision of Assistance to Victims of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse which aims to support humanitarian and development actors and the country inter-agency PSEA structures to strengthen a coordinated, system-wide approach to the provision of assistance and support, which prioritizes the rights and dignity of victims/survivors, including:
• an overview of the Protocol and technical note and their application to harmonize and strengthen provision of assistance at country level
• how to apply victim/survivor centred approach to the provision of assistance and special considerations for child survivors
• integrating victim assistance into country level PSEA SOPs and frameworks
The session will feature presentations from civil society organizations on the practical application of the note and a victim/survivor-centered approach to quality support and assistance. It will also spotlight the World Vision International Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Championship priorities for 2022, with specific focus on the victim-centred approach. A brief Q&A discussion will follow the presentations.
