Building from Ground Up
On Friday, November 20, for the third episode of Building From Ground Up, we'll be featuring Temie Giwa-Tubosun, Founder/CEO, LifeBank.

LifeBank is a Nigerian health-tech company that improves access to medical supplies in Africa using logistics, mobile and web technology, and artificial intelligence. The company also maintains a community of donors and organizes regular blood drives.

Temie started LifeBank in 2015 to save lives through efficient blood delivery and today, the company has delivered over 25,000 medical products to more than 10,000 patients in about 700 hospitals.

Still, she is just getting started, as she plans to expand the company’s reach to other African countries, and has already begun operations in Kenya.

Temie will bring to this episode her ten years of experience in product management and institutional development, as well as discuss the challenges and excitements of building a health startup in Nigeria despite the country’s frail healthcare system.

People ought to learn from those who have been there and done that, and gain insights for their own work. This is why the UK-Nigeria Tech Hub created this series in partnership with TechCabal, and it is the idea that informs every episode.

If you’re thinking that you shouldn’t miss out on this series, you’re definitely right.
