Dr. Patrice Little
Founder @Nursing with Intention
Dr. Patrice Little is Family Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience in general medicine with a special interest in ophthalmology and adverse childhood experiences (ACE). She recently contributed to the Advanced Practice Nursing Leadership: A Global Perspective textbook (2020) and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of NP Student Magazine, a digital lifestyle resource for Nurse Practitioner students. Dr. Little uses this platform as a sounding board for the under-represented voices of the nursing community. In 2018, as the Nurses in Washington Intern (NIWI) scholarship recipient, Dr. Little joined nurses across the nation to advocate for the nursing workforce in Washington D.C. She has disseminated her outcomes in healthcare policy at local symposiums. As an activist, Dr. Little applies the same approach to improving racial-cultural competencies in nursing. In her spare time, Dr. Little enjoys freestyle dancing on Friday nights with her hubby and two children.
