Brood X Cicadas and Laurel
Do you remember something special that happened in Laurel in the spring of 2004? Perhaps you can recall a similar event happening in 1987? And 1970? This spring, we will be treated again as millions of cicadas will dig out from the soil where they have been growing the past 17 years!

Join us on April 8 to learn all about the upcoming emergence of the 17-year periodical cicadas of Brood X with scientists and educators from George Washington University and the Audubon Naturalist Society.
