Mustafa Raoof, M.D. (Surgical Oncologist, Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery @City of Hope)
Dr. Raoof has trained at Harvard, Yale, MD Anderson Cancer Center and the UofArizona. He is the author of dozens of peer-reviewed papers published in leading scientific journals. Dr. Raoof is the recipient of the Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, NCCN Young Investigator Award, PanCAN Career Development Award, and the Society of Thermal Medicine’s Biology Informa-Yamamoto Young Investigator Award. At City of Hope Cancer Center, Dr. Raoof is part of one of the largest programs in the region performing complex cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for cancers disseminated within the abdominal cavity. He also has vast experience in providing surgical care to patients whose cancer has spread to the liver. Dr. Raoof conducts laboratory research focusing on DNA repair mechanisms in cancers. His mission is to deliver complex surgical oncology care with expertise and compassion, as well as to develop new therapies for patients with GI cancers.
