Whilst we’re so sad the current GBBO series is coming to an end, Bake With A Legend are going to be celebrating with a special online free webinar on Saturday 28th November 2020.
Firstly, Dan Beasley Harling will be leading a free webinar class teaching you how to make the perfect classic English scone and creme chantilly, so you can bake along with us for around an hour at 7.30pm to give you a little flavour of what a class with Bake With A Legend entails.
Then at 8.45pm, Dan will be joined by Howard Middleton and Jane Beedle where we’ll all reflect on the 2020 Series of Bake Off and we'll take your questions. You can join at whatever time you like but you have to register if you want to attend.
If you'll be joining to make the perfect scone with us, then you'll need the following:
Large Mixing Bowl
Round Cutter (5-6cm)
Piping Bags and Nozzles
Flat Baking Tray
Small bowls of flour for dipping cutters in
Small bowl for whisking egg
300g (2 and 1/3rd cups) plain flour
30g (2 Tbsp) Caster / Superfine sugar
3 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
60g or 4 Tbsp (1/2 Stick) cold unsalted butter - from the fridge.
125ml or (1/2 cup) milk
2 Eggs (One For Dough, One For Glazing)
150ml (or 3/4 cup) Double/Heavy Cream
15g (or 2 Tbsp) icing sugar
1 Tsp vanilla extract
You may want to serve it warm with your own butter, jam & cream.
