Presentation Description:
Accessory muscles & tendons are fairly common throughout the human body, they look like typical anatomy but in atypical locations. Majority of time they are asymptomatic incidental findings, but occasionally they can be the palpable mass, impinge on peripheral nerves, or be used as grafts for surgeons.
I have compiled a list of accessory muscles & tendons that I have encountered over the past 10 years and hope to shed some light on their common and uncommon locations.

Speakers

Cathy Ridsdale
BSc., CRGS, CRVS, RDMS (OB/GYN, ABD/Sm Parts, NEURO, Breast), RVT
Cathy is a graduate from the Mohawk College Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1996. She has worked clinically in Ontario, Canada, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA as well as in Edmonton, AB Canada where she currently holds a position as Lead Sonographer. While in Cincinnati, she gained experience as an Educator at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College where she taught Ultrasound physics and instrumentation, obstetrics, abdomen and vascular ultrasound. It was at this time she developed an interest in speaking. Over the years, Cathy has had the pleasure of speaking at multiple conferences and presented numerous webinars. cathy.ridsdale@gmail.com
Luke McLeod
RMSKS, RDMS, CRGS
Luke is a graduate from BCIT in Vancouver and has been an ultrasound technologist for 14 years at Mayfair Diagnostics in Calgary, the majority of the past 10 years spent nearly full time in MSK. In the past he has held roles as the MSK ultrasound modality coordinator for Mayfair Diagnostics, a research assistant at the University of Calgary, as well as performing sideline scanning for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He has previously presented and held MSK skills workshops at Sonography Canada's annual conference, and has presented at educational rounds across Western Canada. lmcleod@radiology.ca
