This webinar is intended for all clinicians and soon-to-be clinicians interested in learning about the role that speech-language pathologists (S-LPs) can have when working with children who have experienced adverse childhood events, including racism and race-based trauma. This presentation will provide a broad overview of adverse childhood events, the impacts of race-based trauma and toxic stress, the relationship between trauma and communication disorders and how S-LPs can modify their practice to provide trauma-informed care.
