Outlook on the Serbian Fintech and ICT sectors for the UK market
On April 19, 2021, the United Kingdom and Serbia signed a new trade which will secure continued preferential trade between the two countries, and is meant to guarantee significant savings for businesses to support jobs and the wider economy. Serbia, the biggest economy in the Western Balkans, represents an attractive post-Brexit market for UK companies and offers many opportunities for supply chain optimisation. 



The British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce constantly identifies business opportunities for British and Serbian companies. In this first in a series of webinars highlighting trade opportunities between the UK and Serbia, we are looking at the general business and economic conditions in the post-Brexit and post-Covid environment and identifying focusing on business opportunities in ICT and the Digital Economy.

Panel discussion: New business opportunities in the ICT and digital economy sectors 
Serbia's technology sector is booming, already accounting for six per cent of the country's GDP and employing around 45,000 individuals. In 2019, the country exported 1.5 billion euros worth of IT products and services. The gaming and blockchain sectors are booming. The government has digitalised a lot of its public services and introduced coding classes in primary schools. In this session we will discuss Fintech, Gaming, Serbian Start-ups, digitalisation and software development opportunities.
